I made it!

After 2 planes, a bus ride, and a taxi ride, I made it to my B&B in Luton, UK.

It all went very smoothly and I met some very kind, helpful people along the way. Thank you Chad from Iceland air who let me use his cellphone when the pay phones wouldn't work, my flying buddy, bus diver who looked like a blond Johnny Depp, and the little old lady who showed me the best taxis after I got off the bus in the dark.

It's morning now but last night I met Alison, who runs the Bakewell House B&B. She's very nice and a crack-up too. She showed me around and indeed gave me tea and cake upon arrival. English tea in England? Heck yes!

And it has to be said: I LOVE THESE ACCENTS!!! Sigh...

  1. That's so cool! So happy that you made it to your first destination, safely, and had time to relax. We were tracking and watching your flight from Seattle. Loved the picture of you while talking on Skype, very cute. Thank you for keeping us updated and we look forward to future posts.

    We love you!

OH! And you are required to come back with some sort of accent, of your choosing, just so you know ;)
