The Ferry

Imagine quiet ominous music that get louder, louder, Louder, LOUDER. You feel something bad is coming. In fact, you know it's coming. That something is: the Wadi Hafa-Aswan Lake Nasser Ferry! *Dun dun dun!!!!!*

Okay. Maybe it doesn't sound scary but believe me, I certainly didn't enjoy it.

It was sweaty and crowded and hot and sticky and I don't know how that differs at all from West Africa but I do know I liked West African transport more than this. Maybe it was the fruit in a bag service.

We boarded mid-day, and finally left after five. We stayed on the ferry for just over 24 hours.

"Get me off of here!"

We lived in tent city.

Now as I look back on it, it probably wasn't that bad, but as I got kicked in the head and I wasn't feeling great anyways, I just wasn't impressed. But, hey, I got a ukulele tattoo!

So it's all worth it, right?
